Remember when former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld said she sort of missed being a freelancer? Well, it looks like she missed it a lot, because just weeks after word got out about her styling project with Barneys, we hear she’s also working with Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.
WWD reports that Lagerfeld and Roitfeld (can we call them the ‘Felds?) teamed up for Chanel’s fall-winter campaign, which they just shot in Paris with model Freja Beha Erichsen. Lagerfeld, ever the shutterbug, took the pictures and Roitfeld styled Erichsen in Lagerfeld’s clothes.
There’s no word on what the pictures will look like, but we’re guessing they’ll be sort of dark and woodsy and pretty — and Lagerfeld says he’s not disappointed with how they came out. “The mix with Freja was genius,” he told WWD. After all, Roitfeld is probably best known for her talents as a stylist, and after a decade of producing some awesome, controversy-filled editorials at one of the best fashion magazines in the world, a few billboards and a few print ads should be easy as a walk along the Seine.
