Carine Roitfeld is reportedly banished from all things related to Condé Nast, but it doesn’t mean that Hearst-owned Harper’s Bazaar can’t profile her. In the mag’s September issue, the former French Vogue editor gets a nice little profile about her busy lifestyle. She’s launching a MAC collaboration, rolling out CR Book, and playing the role of the most fashionable grandmother to her daughter’s nearly four-month-old daughter Romy. But Roitfeld still finds time to hang out with her friends.
Just after Roitfeld left Vogue Paris, she had questions about her future in fashion:
“Some people were supportive. But you think, Maybe I never get invited for the next show; maybe I won’t be front row. Of course you’re disappointed by some people, but you discover other people too.”
“Carine is a perfectionist. We are both Virgos and obsessed with details. I am always inspired by Carine.”
Who knew he was so into astrology? Anyway, he’s not the only one doling out glowing compliments. Carine recalls:
“Tom is crazy. I remember once, his back hurt and he asked me to walk on him with my high heels on.”
Sounds … painful. Wonder if we’ll get the same treatment from Roitfeld if we asked?
