Carine Roitfeld Cast Vogue Editorial At Victoria’s Secret Show

When we saw that Carine Roitfeld attended last week’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show extravaganza, we assumed the over-the-top, half-naked stylings held some strange American kitsch appeal to her. Instead, it turns out that the Vogue Paris editrix had a legitimate work-related reason for being there.

According to Fashionologie, Roitfeld, along with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, were there to scope out talent for a future Vogue Paris editorial. Similarly, The Imagist reports that “there’s a veeeery sexy Inez and Vinoodh edit abrewing for Vogue Paris…[with] at least 3 angels (past n’ present) in the mix.”

Jewelry designer Rodrigo Otazu confirmed the rumors when he tweeted: “Busy morning with French Vogue soot[sic] today with top models Karolina Kurkova, Lily Donaldson, Adriana Lima and Izabel Goulart.”

We have to say, if Roitfeld really cast the models at last week’s taping, then that’s a remarkably fast turn around. Then again, what model is going to turn down a shoot for Vogue Paris?
