Carla Bruni: Editor-In Chief?

Carla Bruni has officially sealed her status as the First Lady of Fashion — French or not. The former model, current singer, and wife of French president Nicolas Sarkozy has agreed to guest edit an issue of Madame Figaro magazine.

According to WWD, the magazine also asked Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier to “sketch one-off outfits” for Bruni.

Bruni also commissioned features on some of her favorite things and friends, like her charity and, apparently, U2 frontman Bono.

Bruni also appears in a photo spread shot by Ellen von Unwerth and addressed rumors of infidelity in an interview. It turns out Ms. Bruni-Sarkozy is not the biggest fan of blogs.

“[Rumors] have always existed. But I despise those that stem from a blog and that are written by people calling themselves Mickey or Superman. I also despise so-called journalists who use blogs as a credible source of information.”

We still love her.
