We already know who took home the grand prize at last night’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards (that would be Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman), but there was no shortage of champions on the red carpet, either. Designers, models, editors, and fashion fans alike donned their best all-American duds and stepped out to strike a pose or two.
Emma Stone, Vogue‘s best dressed starlet “Across America”, was oddly one of the few who wore a look from across the pond. She chose a jewel-toned skirt and top from Burberry Prorsum‘s Spring 2013 collection by the evening’s keynote speaker Christopher Bailey, and while it wasn’t exactly Made in the USA, we’ll let it slide since it was a stunning pick. Other winners were Cody Horn‘s mustard-topped Thakoon number, Jenna Lyons in shiny J Crew, and Liya Kebede in perforated Proenza Schouler.
Strategic cutouts had a big night, too, for better or for worse: Allison Williams, for one, must have liked what she saw at the Peter Som show in September, since she came arm-in-arm with the designer in a pretty pale pink cutout frock from the collection, while Christina Ricci donned jewel-toned Richard Chai and a bare mid-section, and Vanessa Traina arrived in an illusion Alexander Wang.

this is some kind of spaceship or something.
