Ice Storm, Schmice Storm: The (Chanel) Show Must Go on!

Frozen just got a whole lot more relevant.

WWD reports a winter storm (cause: not a queen with magical powers) that “blanketed roads in treacherous ice” has delayed preparations for Tuesday’s Chanel Metier d’Arts show in Dallas. According to the trade, poor weather conditions caused power outages that affected 270,000 people Friday, as well as an electrical fire that forced some members of the Chanel team to evacuate their hotel.

Still, a handful of hardy amies have already made the long, arduous trek to the Lone Star State, defying Mother Nature as man has always done: By posing with barbecue equipment and taking screenshots.

We wouldn’t be surprised if the Kaiser, upon hearing of the situation in Texas, merely gave a wave of his fingerless-gloved hand. After all, to the master of the universe, what’s a little sleet?
