We’ve never been keen on two people getting matchy-matchy and have always favored a pair that works off of each other — whether their relationship is romantic (we’re looking at you, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen) or platonic. As far as friendship goes, two of Hollywood’s most stylish stars Chloë Sevigny and Jena Malone have displayed exactly how to get fashionably chummy, while not looking put-on.
The two actresses, who starred alongside each other in Lying cira 2006, have reunited on the silver screen for The Wait, where they play two sisters. Whatever sibling intuition they forged onscreen carried over into real life at the film’s official screening, where they each sported a sophisticated red pout and 2014’s cut du jour, the shoulder-length bob, in buttery blonde hues. Sevigny tapped into her darker side in a roomy Rodarte dress boasting a seemingly-dead floral print, while Malone was equally muted in a grey knit tee tucked into a high-waisted plaid skirt consisting of black, beige, and burnt orange. The looks, while obviously different in print and silhouette, appear as if they were born from the same collection. Much like their blasé attitudes toward Hollywood, they work beautifully together.
