Christopher Kane Gives London’s Cabs A Makeover

Christopher Kane‘s celestial prints from his 2011 resort collection had us lusting for spacey dresses every time we walked into Opening Ceremony this winter. Now the lucky people of London get to enjoy the galaxy pattern whenever they hop into one of the 100 black cabs Kane made over in collaboration with Vodafone.

Vodafone — the world’s largest mobile phone company in terms of dolla billz — has pimped out the taxis with cell phone chargers and the ability to text payment for the ride. This is cool! But not as cool as Kane’s design, a star-covered Union Jack laid over the iconic British vehicle. As Kane explains: “The black cab is such an iconic part of London’s landscape. I am honored to have the opportunity to put my own distinctive stamp on it. Looking forward to seeing one on the street and hailing it down!”

Out of this world, right? (PUNNY.)
