Hailee Steinfeld has been making her mark on the Comic-Con scene both for her film and sartorial prowess, and she just seems to keep outdoing herself. Her latest combination, a geometric Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2014 top and trumpet skirt, high octane nail art, and blue-shadowed eyes prove that if you’re going to go out on a style limb, Comic-Con is the place to raise the least eyebrows. Seriously, how are digital prints going to stack up on the weird scale next to superheros, hobbits, and dragon-toting Daenerys Targaryens.
With this in mind, we have to wonder why Divergent co-stars Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz went for such simple, monochrome looks, because seriously, we can’t think of a better occasion to breakout one of the trippy, 3-D dresses from Christopher Kane’s Resort 2014 collection. We’re all for a chic jumpsuit, but we wish that Kravitz had gone a little more adventurous. The black Osman Spring 2013 onesie she opted for was very much her style, but without anything striking on the beauty front, we were left aching for more.
And speaking of beauty, just yesterday we were quoting Woodley, who said that she no longer believes in makeup on the red carpet. Lo and behold, we find her with eyes that are way too defined to have not gotten the eyeliner treatment. If we were a celebrity, we can pretty much guarantee that we would never leave the house without a stitch of makeup, but seriously girl, practice what you preach.
