Last night at the Republican National Convention, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice delivered one of the most articulate, impassioned speeches of the evening. More impressive, even, than keynote speaker Paul Ryan, who in our humble opinion sounds like one of those particularly unconvincing actors that get cast as a “real person” in insurance commercials. Which is ironic because….well, we digress.
Anyways, the point of the matter is that Condi had lipstick on her teeth as she gave her speech, a fact that many (read: us) may have missed were it not for the disgruntled folks on Twitter who chose to share their disapproval with the world. While our Twitter feeds were remarkably (mostly) wiped clean of snark during her address, we did see a number of snide remarks in the following vein:
A prime example of something people would forget in five minutes if they didn’t have social media outlets on which to share their commentary, don’t you think? And, yes, female politicians’ style choices are prime fodder for us here at Styleite, but those, as we noted yesterday regarding Ann Romney‘s RNC dress, are most often calculated, political moves. Condi’s teeth on the other hand? We doubt she was trying to rep the party color quite so thoroughly.
