We were so enamored with Kate Middleton‘s sleek Roksanda Ilincic frock and chic updo at the Creative Industries Reception that we barely noticed others at the event. Fancy Brits like Stella McCartney, Lily Cole, and Fearne Cotton hung out with Kate, and totally made us jealous. While the Duchess obviously wins best dressed, who came in at a close second?
McCartney wore her own design, a dark blue jacquard suit which she paired with two-toned pumps that we’ve seen on Kristen Stewart. Most people can barely pull off a regular black suit, but McCartney took it to the next level. Cole also looked great in a bold red coat dress, but is it just us, or does the ensemble look a bit off, proportionally-speaking? Cotton looked casual and laid back in a white sheath dress (with pockets!) and teal platforms.
Australian actress Holly Valance showed up in a tight leather dress that was inappropriate for the season, even if the reception was during the chilly evening. We’ve also no idea who Faye Tozer is, but her ruched dress seemed like a sad prom leftover and her swirly hair reminds us of cinnamon buns. Yum.
Anyway, look at all the outfits and tell us who you think rocked the red carpet:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
