Crystal Renn Goes Miley Cyrus on a Knife, Plays Drums for The Sartorialist

We like lemons a lot too, Crystal Renn. But don’t you think holding a knife like that’s a little … dangerous?

Unsafe and totally-against-everything-we-know-about-kitchen-safety-y might seem like the vibe Scott Schuman was going for in this “day in the life”-themed shoot for TANK Magazine, but according to the big man himself, he had nothing to do with the near tongue-slicing. In fact, he originally had something way more sedate in mind:

“The first shot I envisioned was a simple scene of her … maybe making coffee and doing the dishes. Simple, domestic living. However, as soon as I raised the camera for the first shot, Crystal raised the knife and it became ‘Crystal’ clear to me how this shoot was going to go.”

Har har. But seriously — doing yoga with a cigarette clenched in your teeth? Sitting on a swing topless? That sounds much closer to art than anybody’s real life.
