Drake Thinks You’re Going To Spend $5,000 On A Jacket He Designed

Drake‘s life story isn’t exactly rags to riches — more like wealth to more wealth, really — but we didn’t have a clear picture of just how much money this kid has until he designed a jacket so expensive it could pretty easily ruin your credit.

The New York City boutique Nepenthes is selling a jacket that Drake’s entourage (their name is October’s Very Own, obviously) designed in a collaboration with the already-expensive outerwear brand Canada Goose. But at $5,000 CDN (about $4,900 USD), this jacket takes expensive into new territory.

So why the high pricetag? Just like the mainline Canada Goose jackets that retail in the $600 to $800 range, this jacket is stuffed with super warm goose down. Unlike those jackets, it’s made of quilted buffalo leather, lined with silk, has a fox-fur trimmed hood and hardware plated with 24K gold.

Still, from the guy who once designed a $500 varsity jacket with Roots and has aspirations of doing a sweater collaboration with Missoni, we suppose we shouldn’t be surprised about how much the jacket costs. So if you have really, really deep pockets and feel an intense and burning need to look like it this winter, we may have found just the piece of outerwear for you. Check out pictures of it below while we check eBay to see if there’s any stuff from The North Face selling for under $100.
