Maybe it was all that archive-diving with Natalie Joos that jogged her memory, because for Fall 2013, Diane von Furstenberg‘s digging into her inimitable history once again, and bringing dream collaborators Carine Roitfeld and Daria Werbowy along for the ride.
“This campaign, like the collection it represents, is really about getting back to our roots,” von Furstenberg told WWD. “It is about empowering women to be the rock star and the muse of their own lives.”
For the throwback image, Roitfeld styled swoosh-haired Phoebe Philo favorite Werbowy in a wrap dress, Swiss-Dot tights and the brand’s new Sutra bag, which indeed recalls the ’70s when von Furstenberg held court at Studio 54. We’re big fans of the era and this ultra-glam walk down memory lane — though if it’s Diane we’re talking about, it’s more like disco dancing.
