Lanvin’s Fall Campaign Features A Mental Disorder And A Duck

Edie Campbell’s already fronting campaigns for Jil Sander and Marc Jacobs this season, so combined with her multifarious Lanvin ads she must be feeling a little thinly spread personality-wise – particularly since the brand had her embodying six different women.

For Fall 2013/2014 Alber Elbaz hooked Miss Campbell up with luxe threads, a duck and multiple personality disorder to demonstrate the versatility of a Lanvin collection. Over the course of six looks, Edie morphs from Brit model to crazy duck lady to chic ’60s housewife to film noir and Hitchcock heroines. Ducks are the new cats, vicunas are the new screaming goats… We can barely keep up, but we like it.

The ads were shot by Steven Meisel on the creative direction of House + Holme, and are slated for the September issues. Keep an eye out for the boys’ ads, featuring Bryan Ferry’s Chelsea Alumni/model/multi-talented artist son Tara. Seems Lanvin are really riffing off this Brits with D.I.D. thing, huh?
