Page Six reports that Elle MacPherson is leaving her hosting gig, but will continue as the show’s executive producer. Judges Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos will remain, and there’s also talk that the show won’t have a host. Macpherson explains:
“I have been involved with Fashion Star from the beginning, and am very proud to see it come to life, not only in America but globally. The show is in great hands, and although I will not be hosting this season, I will still be very involved [and] will be reviewing the format for the upcoming season.”
H&M is also leaving the show, and reportedly feels that Fashion Star just isn’t a good fit after collaborating with Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, and Marni. H&M is fancy now, you see.
The first season seemed to do quite well, and there were no shortage of snarky contestants that made for good television, which makes both of these changes a bit surprising. Will you tune in for next season?
