Emma Watson blew up as the frizzy-haired and endearingly annoying Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. But there’s a cost to that fame — girl can’t even go to a museum.
T magazine’s latest profile of the actress chronicles Watson’s rise to fame, how she manages to stay so normal despite being her acting, modeling, and studying gigs (she used to take the bus from London to Oxford!), and how she deals with the fans:
“If I went to somewhere busy, I wouldn’t last very long. I can’t go to a museum, I’ll last 10 or 15 minutes in a museum. The problem is that when one person asks for a photograph, then someone sees a flash goes off, then everyone else sort of … it’s sort of like a domino effect. And then very quickly the situation starts to get out of control to a point where I can’t manage it on my own.”
Well, now we just feel bad. We’ll just have to make do with T’s photoshoot with Watson:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
