Karl Creates Clickable And Strippable Ad Campaign For Eres

We’ve always sort of wondered why Mr. Lagerfeld never appears in public without his dark sunnies. Mystery? Light sensitivity? But lately, our hunch is that the Herr’s affection for lenses has a little something to do with dark circles and a serious lack of sleep. Consider the multi-tasker’s latest datebook entries: Send Heidi Mount bouquet of Camelias…Work on Spring Collections…Direct kitchy campaign for Eres.

Our fantasies of rifling through the designer’s Filofax aside, as WWD has it, Karl has returned to the lens to work on a co-branded effort with Chanel’s beach-ready sister label, Eres. GuessLES ladders and guerilla videos just weren’t enough.

Anyways, for the playful project, Lagerfeld shot a photo series featuring model Emily Didonato as a modern day Chanel-clad paper doll. With the click of a mouse, you’ll be able to swap her retro frocks and disrobe Didonato all the way down to some super magnificent maillots.

No rest for the weary, right? We pity his assistant.
