Sally Singer shocked the fashion industry this week when it was announced that she was leaving her gig as editor-in-chief of T magazine. Now, we get word that girl crush Eva Chen is leaving Teen Vogue after more than six years.
Fashionista reported that Chen was leaving the mag in its roundup story about recent masthead changes. Naturally, we’re surprised by the news! Chen was the longtime Beauty and Health Director/Special Projects Director, and her name was synonymous with all things beauty at Teen Vogue.
But this is where the story gets strange — Chen has yet to announce the move herself. The editor has a huge social media following — she posts multiple times each day on her addictive Tumblr and boasts over 34,000 Twitter followers. Why wouldn’t Chen want to be the one to break the news to her loyal following?
Several Google searches later, we still couldn’t find more information about her exit. There’s no word yet on Chen’s plans after Teen Vogue, but we’re excited to find out!
