You guys, even Victoria Beckham is riddled with self-doubt. How can we possibly be sure of ourselves? In an interview with Vogue Australia, the Spice Girl-turned-designer admitted that when she debuts collections of her latest work, she gets nervous that people won’t like what she has created. It doesn’t help that fashion critics and editors aren’t the most emotive lot of people in the world.
“Everyone would file in and act so inscrutable. I’d think: ‘Um, did anyone like it?’ No-one would say anything, so I’d just gabble to fill the embarrassing silences – even to the Japanese, who didn’t understand a word I was saying!”
Chances are, though, they did like it, because Posh’s designs are always highly praised and loved by all the people who matter. But it’s adorable that she’s still so humble. In the interview, she went on to talk about what a day in her life is like, and her favorite nighttime activity. It was surprisingly relatable. She is, after all, a mom.
“Honestly, once the children are in bed I’d rather work or shove on a face pack and pluck my eyebrows. By the time Brooklyn’s finally gone to bed, it’s all I’m fit for. Really, we’re much more normal than people think.”
She plucks her own eyebrows? Very normal. She lives with the world’s tastiest piece of man meat? Not so much.
