Everything You Didn’t Need to Know About Kegels for Men


This man thinks his fitness regime is it. He’s got 99 problems, but a bench ain’t one. Well, not true. Unless he’s up on the latest news from the New York Times, he needs to be working his penile muscles because they’re weakening at his every side eye turn.

The Times reports that Kegels are not just for women anymore. Men need to do this sexercise too to help with performance and incontinence. Dr. Andrew L. Siegel, the co-founder of Private Gym, is hawking a new pelvic exercise system men can do on the floor. It includes little weights attached to a silicone band that fits around the penis for resistance. The target muscles are around the base of the penis, and they wake up for erections, orgasms and ejaculation. Just like Kegels, men are supposed to tighten their ween muscles for a few seconds as if they were trying to hold in a pee and then let go, repeating ten to fifteen times.

According to the story, clinical trials say they can help men who come too fast plus they help with erectile dysfunction, but researchers are still light on the solid proof. However, Grace Dorey, Professor emeritus of physiotherapy and urology at the University of the West of England swears it’s the best dick trick in the book. “It’s as good as Viagra, without the costs and the side effects,” she told the Times.
