We’re pretty open-minded when it comes to other people’s personal style (it is personal, after all) but one rule we think people should observe universally is that their clothes should fit. Songstress Stacy Ferguson (better known as Fergie, Josh Duhamel‘s main squeeze or the chick from The Black Eyed Peas) broke that rule last night in a major way.
Fergie showed up for a party thrown by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle Friday in a strapless, quirky Jean-Charles de Castelbajac dress printed with an image of Felix the Cat. In photos, the dress doesn’t look like it fits that well from the front — and when she turns around, you can tell why. The dress’s zipper only made it halfway up her back, and the rest of the open zipper had to be held together by a swath of black fabric, no doubt sewn in by a stylist who wanted her to just wear something else.
Because really, this is Fergie we’re talking about. We’re betting her people could call dozens of fashion houses and find her something that actually fit — or better yet, she could go out and buy something with her own money that could actually accommodate her frame. There’s loving a dress, and then there’s wearing a dress against your better judgement, and this is definitely case of the latter.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
