Hats off to this year’s honorees on Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 list! Every year, the magazine rounds up the brightest stars in fields like media, technology, and finance, and 2012’s selection boasts some very deserving names.
In the media category, 16-year-old Tavi Gevinson makes the grade for her impressive work with teen-geared online magazine Rookie, which recently launched its first print edition, called Yearbook One. Designers Carly Cushnie of Cushnie et Ochs, Joseph Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are among the arts and style stars celebrated this year, along with Nasty Gal founder Sophie Amoruso and photographer Michael Avedon.
In marketing and ads, Birchbox co-founder Hayley Barna earns a mention for the company’s efforts to “cut through the clutter of the retail world,” and, in Hollywood, stylish success stories include Lena Dunham and former America’s Next Top Model contestant-turned-actress Analeigh Tipton.
