The holidays are our favorite time of the year, and yet, after the first Jared commercial we’re ready to boycott all advertisements for fear of transforming into the Grinch’s second-coming. Fortunately, we take solace in the fact that Gap has, yet again, come up with a charming, socially-minded campaign to lift our spirits.
The All-American brand kept with tradition for this season’s “Make Love” campaign by lensing stunning portraits of a genuinely diverse group of cultural icons — many of which happen to be our dream dinner party guests. We’re looking at you Tony Bennett, Q-Tip, Connie Britton, Harry Belafonte, Waris Ahluwalia, and Cyndi Lauper.
In addition to the fun lovin’ images, Gap brought together a handful of gifted students from Bennett’s Exploring the Arts Foundation with the icon for a series of short films. We’ve already watched Tony and the kids croon “The Best is Yet to Come,” three times and we suggest you do the same.
