The hat-filled festivities just won’t quit! For the third day in a row the royal family has turned out in formal duds and fancy headwear. First we had Queen Elizabeth‘s birthday procession, then Prince Philip‘s birthday service and reception, and now the Garter Day ceremony.
Garter Day celebrates those in the Order of the Garter, a super-selective (and important!) group of royals, knights, and ladies recognized for their service to England. Personally, we love seeing women in official garb. (How great does the Queen look? SO GREAT.) We also think Kate‘s Philip Treacy hat (well, fascinator) is rather amazing, if precariously perched.
