If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? That seems to be Riccardo Tisci’s thinking for his fall 2013 Givenchy campaign, which revives last season’s all-in-the-family theme. This time, however, instead of Mariacarla Boscono and her brand new baby, he’s tapped a mother and daughter pair that can both don the line in Carine Roitfeld and Julia Restoin Roitfeld, along with muse Amanda Seyfried, actor Quim Gutiérrez, and models Mariano Ontañon and Dalianah Arekion.
Tisci told WWD he was going for a “gypsy feeling”, adding that the friends he chose to front the campaign “are real gypsies in their own lives. They are never in one place. They travel the world.”
Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographed the Roitfelds in skirts that present a distinct resemblance to a certain Met Gala look that bore the brunt of some, ahem, upholstery jokes, while Seyfried looks fittingly doe-eyed in a Bambi top and clutch.
