In a ten-minute long diatribe on his radio show, Beck mistakes Wintour for an American when she’s actually British, mocks how she pronounces Michelle‘s names (“Mee-chelle Obahhma”), calls out her role in The Devil Wears Prada, and makes fun of her Runway to Win scarf.
Here’s a particularly long portion of the rant:
“She doesn’t want to hear your opinion. She’s not saving the two best seats — do you really think Anna Wintour is going to be taking the crappy seats? Do you really think she wants to hear your opinion? Uhh well, do you know who she is? See, here’s step two of an out-of-control campaign. You don’t hire someone or get into bed with or have somebody do the fundraiser for you who they made a true life story. A true to life movie about and called it The Devil Wears Prada. She was the devil part! She was the person who actually was in the movie treating all of her co-workers, her underlings, like garbage, waiting on her every whim. She is — she is — what [Barack Obama] says capitalists are like all the time. She is everything she says the Republicans are and she’s an Obama supporter. I’m saving the best seat for you. Actually, I’m lying. You’re gonna get a crumbum seat because you’re part of the people.”
And here’s the whole thing:
