The fashion at the Golden Globes didn’t just stop when the show ended — it continued at the after parties. HBO, Fox, and InStyle all hosted their own star studded fetes, giving us another opportunity to gawk at pretty gowns and surprise appearances by some well-dressed Olympians. Spoiler alert: sorry, Ryan Lochte didn’t stop by.
Most stars like Amy Poehler, Jodie Foster, and Kerry Washington didn’t bother changing into new outfits for the after parties. The reason being that they probably didn’t have enough time, but really, why would they? Poehler looked amazing in a fitted Stella McCartney tux, Foster was still on a high after her amazing/awkward speech in Giorgio Armani, and Washington blew us out of the water in Miu Miu. But stars like Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Alba did swap outfits; the former switched out of her nude Zuhair Murad number for another Murad halter LBD with a plunging neckline, and the latter ditched her coral Oscar de la Renta gown for a killer Louis Vuitton checkered frock.
As for the Olympians, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, and Missy Franklin all brought out their sartorial A-game at the parties. Douglas made a statement in neon Pamella Roland, while Raisman and Franklin went for sleek black gowns.
