Please give us a moment while we digest the amazingness that is Grace Coddington on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The Cod. On Fallon.
The Vogue editor indeed stopped by last night’s show to promote her memoir, Grace. While there, she talked about modeling for nine years before switching gears to editorial, being much more recognizable after The September Issue, and getting just recently getting herself a cell phone. The two also reminisced about doing a Vogue photoshoot with Mario Testino, in which Fallon, who happens to be a huge fan of Coddington’s, wolfed down a pastrami sandwich inside Katz’ Delicatessen.
The best part, however, is when Fallon shows off her impressive sketches, which she draws with a thin pen and then Xeroxes to make the strokes even thinner. At that point, the Cod reveals that she brought a present for Fallon — a sketch of his Late Night set. Coddington said it took her the entire weekend, and even included a drawing of Fallon interviewing herself on stage. Best present ever!
