When you’re commemorating The Beatles, one night of celebration just isn’t enough, which is why the Grammys saluted the Fab Four with an tribute show last night, featuring performances from Stevie Wonder, the Eurythmics, Pharrell, Gary Clark Jr., Katy Perry, and more. What made the night all the more magical was another reunion between Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, who sung “With a Little Help From My Friends” and “Hey Jude”.
As far as the red carpet went, there were plenty of looks that caught our eye. We know feelings will be mixed on Katy Perry’s pink and burgandy floral Dolce & Gabbana dress and cape, but we thought it was a respectable risk with utterly elegant results. One of our girl crushes Chrissy Teigen looked perfect from head-to-toe in Adream Spring 2014. Her ivory crop top, midi skirt, and blazer slung on shoulders get-up looked even more chic next to her husband John Legend in his sharp midnight blue suit. Anna Kendrick opted for a bright yellow mini-dress from Markus Lupfer’s Resort 2014 collection that showed off her tiny frame, while Annie Lennox looked utterly cool in a long-sleeved metallic silver gown.
In our minds, the most important look of all was Pharrell’s, who chose to wore the Vivienne Westwood hat that launched a thousand memes. We have to admit, at first sight we were confused by his unorthodox choice, but once we got the backstory, it all made sense. His style seems to be treading into old school hip-hop territory and we don’t hate it. See all the looks, below:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
