Throughout her career, Heidi Klum has had to strip down to her skivvies more than once. In her latest interview with Ocean Drive, the 39-year-old German beauty opens up about how young models should say no to posing nude, and how photographers have helped her stay classy even during provocative shoots.
Klum works a one-shouldered black mini with a cut-out at the bodice on her Rankin-lensed Ocean Drive cover. Inside, the mag, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, chats with the model about her most memorable moments throughout her career, challenges she’s faced as a designer, and of course, posing nude:
“When you have a good body, photographers will often be like, ‘Yeah, let’s take this off, and why don’t we lose this too,’ and you can quickly end up not wearing much clothing. You have to be careful and strong at saying no, especially when you’re younger and on your own. Not everyone is cool and has your best interest [at heart]. But Rankin has always made sure, when some of my shoots would be more on the naked side, that they wouldn’t look raunchy. They were sexy, yes, but very classy.”
