Helena Bonham Carter’s British Vogue Cover Is Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.

She may be typecast as the battiest of ladies and roll up to red carpets with her hair askew and gowns akimbo, but man oh man does Helena Bonham Carter ever clean up good.

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographed the actress for the July issue of British Vogue and between the graphic black-white-and-red color scheme, femme fatale makeup, and dramatic yet — considering who we’re talking about here — restrained Ralph Lauren dress, we think this might be our favorite cover from the glossy all year. On the one hand, we’d love to see her show up to the Oscars looking like this (that would really shock all the critics), but on the other, we do kind of have a soft spot for her oddball attire.
