Hugh Hefner Convinced Lindsay Lohan To Pose Totally Nude For Playboy

How exactly did Lindsay Lohan‘s Playboy spread come to be? Hugh Hefner explains it all.

While Hefner was initially nonplussed about featuring the troubled actress on the cover of his magazine, his mind changed quickly once he decided on a concept. As he explained to E!:

“The pictorial and the concept for the pictorial came from me. She had done semi-nudes before. I wanted to do something that would be memorable. So what is more natural, since she is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, than do something that is a tribute to the red-velvet, Tom Kelley photo shot of Marilyn Monroe that was our very first Playmate?”

And while Lohan wasn’t down with being totally naked, Hefner was the one who convinced her to take it all off:

“I think it was essentially mama and the folks around her that kept pushing for less nudity. And I said, ‘We’re doing a nude pictorial here. We’re going to do it in a very classy way and we’re going to do it in a way in which it will not be forgotten.’”

Well, that’s kind of gross? Even Lohan’s fame-hungry mom Dina didn’t want Linds to go totally nude! Alas, it all may have been for naught. According to Fox News, the issue hasn’t sold at all despite its early newsstand release. And lest you forget, the mag reportedly paid Lohan $1 million for the shoot.
