Jennifer Lawrence has had us hanging by the skirt of her Dior gown to see what she wears next at the at the Rome Film Festival, but we’ve always been inspired by her Hunger Games character Katniss Everdeen. Fortunately, Net-a-Porter has also fallen victim to the fantasy series phenomena and is launching costume designer Trish Summerville’s excusive 19-piece Hunger Games inspired collection.
Capitol Couture by Trish Summerville. which launches November 21, is a razor-sharp array of staples including a leather jacket, cut-out jumpsuit, arrow T-shirt, silver bustier dress, and statement jewelry.
Net-a-Porter fashion director Holli Rogers said:
“Our customers take their style cues from myriad sources, from the latest runway shows and street trends to TV and film. Fashion plays an important role in The Hunger Games series and is especially prevalent in Catching Fire, and fans of the franchise will see the film reference in the collection.”
The collection ranges between £60 and £800, and while some question whether or not the pieces will appeal to shoppers outside of the films’ demographic, Rogers says: “The collection stands on its own two feet. It has been inspired by the film but the pieces are accessible and they work.”
