Into The Gloss Investigates Backstage Beauty Contraband

Backstage BeautyThe writers at Into The Gloss have started doing some pretty serious backstage investigative journalism. In the “hair corridor” of an unnamed show, one reporter tapped into her inner Nancy Drew (or his inner Hardy Boy) after observing mysterious cans covered in electrical tape. Gasp! Hair stylists were using a product that was not provided by the show’s beauty-brand sponsors, in other words, it was contraband.

If you dare ask what’s underneath the tape, prepare for death.

“Peel the tape off, and I kill you,” a French stylist replied upon being questioned.

Rather than risk future demise, the beauty writer cleverly searched through the Into The Gloss archives and found a backstage quote from hairstylist James Peci. The TIGI Bed Head Superstar Queen for a Day hairspray he named as his favorite secret happened to have the same unique shape as the covered bottles in question. Mystery solved.
