J. Crew Invented Another Mindblowingly Original Fashion Item: Casual Pants

JCrew

You’ve heard it first from J. Crew for the third time now.

First, they told you they were the ones who brought back Birkenstocks in their catalog.

Then there was the time they tried to convince us that they invented a whole new kind of bathing suit.

Now the latest catalog has arrived, and they’re telling us they’ve come up with something that’s completely original and never-before-seen. It’s a trim-fitting sideline pant and short. The shorts come in indigo chambray, and the pants in navy microstripe.

Here’s the modest ad copy:

“YOU’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE: WE CREATED A SLIM-CUT PANT AND SHORT THAT ARE EQUALLY AT HOME ON THE BEACH AS THEY ARE ON THE STREET”

The guy chilling on the ornate structure in Udaipur looks mildly confused, but perhaps he feels like he’s seen this groundbreaking invention somewhere before. Like, in his own wardrobe perhaps?
