Jay Z Raps About the Barneys ‘Shop-and-Frisk’ Controversy

Jay Z may have released an official statement regarding Barneys’ racial profiling accusations, but we knew he’d rap what he really thought eventually. Mr. Carter has collaborated with Rick Ross on a track from his upcoming album Mastermind called “Devil is a Lie,” which addresses the controversy.

The lyrics are as follows:

“See what I did to the stop and frisk/ Brooklyn on at Barneys like we own the b—-/ Give the money to the hood now we all win/Got that Barneys floor lookin’ like a VIM.”

Jay Z later proceeds to rap “Gettin’ white money but I’m still black.”

Looks like Jay has no regrets about the collab despite all the backlash and the fact that his $1,000 T-Shirts didn’t exactly fly off the shelves. But when you’re married to Beyoncé, we suppose there really isn’t a reason to give a damn about anything.
