Jay-Z Lovingly Samples 2-Day-Old Daughter Blue Ivy On New Track

This weekend Beyoncé gave birth to a baby girl. Today doting dad Jay-Z sampled his super duper newborn on a gushy new track. THIS IS THE BEST.

“Glory” features “B.I.C.”…or, you know, BLUE IVY CARTER. It’s probably the sweetest thing we’ve heard all ever. (Also, another layer to Blue’s name: the possible connection to Jay’s late great pal Norotious B.I.G.? Discuss.) Obviously, there are references to Beyoncé (“you’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child”) on the Pharrell Williams-produced track. We also learn that Blue was conceived in Paris, and that the pair suffered a devastating miscarriage. And there’s this:

The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real
Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you

Oh, and then of course the sample of Blue crying at the end. Best.
