Woman Thrown In Jail Over Obscene Fashion Statement

In our books, statement tees most definitely fall into the “Crime of Fashion” category. But a judge in Waukegan, IL took things a few steps further and actually jailed a woman over an “offensive” fashion statement.

According to reports, Jennifer LaPenta, 20 was held in contempt of court for showing up to a hearing in a shirt that proudly proclaimed, “I have the Pussy so I make the rules.”

Spying the obscene tee in the gallery, the judge asked LaPenta if she thought the slogan was appropriate for the court room and then arrested her on the spot.

For her part, LaPenta admits that wearing the R-rated shirt probably wasn’t the smartest move — though at the time she didn’t think too much of it. “I didn’t mean to offend anybody,” LaPenta said. Guess in the end, it’s the one with the gavel that makes the rules. Case clothed.
