It feels like we’ve been waiting forever for the second season of Jersey Shore to begin, and even longer for Harper’s Bazaar to come out with their highly anticipated Jersey Shore cast spread. The poofs, the extensions, the tans — the cast of the Jersey Shore took the fashion world by storm. We wonder how much sales for BumpIts went up, despite Snooki’s disappointment in the product.
It seems as though everyone wants to make the cast over — or rather, make them under. JWoww without her makeup, Snooki without her poof…sometimes it’s just better to embrace the cheesiness that defines the Jersey Shore cast. Let’s get those poofs bigger and those tans darker.
Who better to hyperbolize the cast’s taste for the tacky than controversial photographer Terry Richardson? And this time, it’s all about the boys. In an upcoming issue of Interview Magazine, Richardson shot the boys of the Shore for a spread titled Hard Shore.
Some of the most pressing questions of the past year are answered in the interview, including the origin of The Situation’s name, Vinny’s favorite pick up lines, and most importantly, what hair gel Pauly D uses — we’ll give you a hint, it’s not Kerastase.
The only thing more entertaining than the interview are the photos which empitomize the boys’ Jersey Shore personas.
The boys are decked in D&G and Armani for the most part, with the exception of a few pops of more legimate pieces, like Vinny’s white Tom Ford suit — who would have thought it was possibly to make a Tom Ford suit look so cheap? — and Pauly D’s Balenciaga sunglasses.
See the boys topless holding a large, phallic Italian sub, The Situation pumping iron, and each of them be straddled and rubbed up on by one very hot Sports Illustrated model.
Richardson didn’t try to gussy up these men, but instead oiled them down, took off their shirts, and threw Bar Refaeli into the mix. The result…we’ll just let you look for yourself.
