Yesterday’s premiere of French coming-of-age film Jeune and Jolie played host to some of the best gowns we’ve seen out of the Cannes Film Festival so far. It also brought out some of the worst.
On the thumbs-up side were Freida Pinto, Liya Kebede, and Fan Bingbing, one of our perennial favorites over in the French Riviera, who chose a frothy, lemon yellow princess gown from Elie Saab’s couture collection, paired with Chopard earrings and a glitzy minaudière. Similarly dramatic was Sonam Kapoor, whose capaciously-skirted Dolce & Gabbana gown was custom-made by the designers for the occasion.
Less elegant was the number on Laury Thilleman, a French beauty pageant winner who up until now we had never heard of — and now know only as that girl at Cannes who wore the ridiculously low-cut dress.

this is some kind of spaceship or something.
