Last night, all the glitter, spray tan, and hairspray in the world met on stage in the sparkle extravaganza that is the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas. But while all were leggy, beautiful, and decked out in the most hilarious National Costumes anyone could design, only one could take home the crown — and that was Miss Mexico, Jimena Navarrete.
22-year-old Navarrete beat out Miss USA Rima Fakh, who didn’t break the top 15 and whose “Stripper Photo Scandal” rocked the nation. Or something.
Navarrete sounds like someone we could get behind, though. After being asked by Evan Lysacek, one of the nine (count ’em, nine) celebrity judges, what she thought of unsupervised internet use for children, Jimena Navarrete responded, “I do believe that Internet is an indispensable, necessary tool for the present time. We must be sure to teach them the values that we learned as a family.”
She likes us! She really, really likes us!
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
