If you’re anything like us, you know that Joe Zee’s scenes on The City just never seem to be long enough. That’s because Zee’s television persona is utterly captivating. He’s funny, he tells it like he is, he’s like a male version of Rachel Zoe.
And apparently others agree that there’s no such thing as too much Zee. The Sundance Channel has signed Elle‘s creative director on for an 8-episode series titled All On the Line. Each episode will feature Zee providing some much needed assistance to a designer on the brink of a fashion meltdown.
Zee will step in and offer his advice — undoubtedly in his signature tongue in cheek manner — and help each designer prepare to show his or her collection to buyers. “It’s about helping them get to the next level,” Joe told WWD. “I will be here to lend my expertise.” Think Project Runway, but with actual buyers instead of judges.
“Joe Zee is a perfect fit for our brand,” Sarah Barnett, vice president of the Sundance Channel said. “[He’s] a true creative who’s fun to watch, with a great eye for spotting and developing authentic talent.”
