Feeling a little peckish? Well, we know what you’re going to be craving for lunch now that Jourdan Dunn‘s cooking show Well Dunn has made its debut on Jay-Z‘s website Life + Times: Jerk pork with rice, beans, and Carribean salsa. Yum.
“I chose jerk because I love hot and spicy food and jerk is a big dish in the Caribbean, especially in Jamaica,” Dunn explains in her cute British accent (we love hearing models talk!) She makes good on her promise of heat, leaving the seeds in all of her scotch bonnet peppers because, well, ”what’s the point of having jerk if it’s not going to knock your socks off?” Our thoughts precisely.
Jourdan also has a tried-and-true method of crushing her garlic: “Just think of someone you hate, like your ex-boyfriend.” Which is probably the opposite of what she’d suggest you do when pouring out the coconut cream. “It looks kind of wrong, like something that I won’t say,” she says, trailing off in a fit of giggles.
The model also talks a little bit about shooting the Vogue Italia “All-Black Issue”:
“That day was just, I hate saying this word, but it was amazing. It was also my first time shooting with Steven Meisel and I was just super duper nervous, but working with him he totally put me at ease. And then I was finished and he came up and said ‘Thank you, you’re done’ and I was like ‘Really, I’m done?’ And then I saw Iman walk in and I was like, ‘Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, I’m just going to stay and watch all the supermodels come by.’”
