Fresh of the news that she will be fronting Givenchy’s fall ads alongside her mom, Amanda Seyfried, and a host of other muses cool enough to pull off couch florals, Julia Restoin Roitfeld has landed another plumb campaign. And we’ve got a look at the first shot!
Eddie Borgo is one of the fashion crowd’s favorite jewelers (are there any closets on The Coveteur that don’t feature one of his spike bracelets?), so its only fitting that he’d choose someone steeped in the industry pretty much from birth. In seasons past, he’s chosen insiders like Moda Operandi’s Lauren Santo Domingo, designer Tabitha Simmons, and stylist/muse Vanessa Traina, but while Restoin Roitfeld has had a hand in art directing for the designer, this is the first time she’s the one in front of the lens.
Just don’t expect to be seeing the Paul Maffi-lensed images in magazines. Borgo takes a less traditional (and less expensive) approach to marketing, circulating the campaign amongst editors, buyers, and his stylish group of friends.
