VIDEO: Julianne Hough Joins The Fight Against Real Life Mean Girls

It’s no secret, kids can be mean. In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about teenage bullying — which has become quite an issue — and how to stop it. But not too many people have been particularly vocal about girls bullying girls, even though anyone who’s survived middle school can attest to just how mean girls can be.

Element Eden, the So-Cal brand whose mission is to inspire girls to follow their own path, has teamed up with the Kind Campaign for Spring/Summer 2013 to create a capsule collection that aims to bring awareness to teen bullying. A portion of the proceeds from the sales are donated to Kind Campaign, and celeb supporters like Julianne Hough, Jessica Stam, and Jack Osbourne (who helped produce the following video), among others are even putting the word out on Twitter.

Julianne was a victim of child abuse and thankfully has been able to use her fame to give back. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she discussed her role in Safe Haven and participation in other charities that bring awareness to abuse, saying: “I don’t want pity. To me it’s more about being that voice for people who don’t necessarily have a voice.”

Here’s a little more about the Kind Campaign (spoiler alert: there is a lot of crying), and see which other celebs are giving back these days.
