Kanye‘s passion for fashion may have just reached an all-time high. British tabloid The Sun is reporting that the rapper has applied to the fashion master’s degree program at London’s famed Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design.
Yeezy supposedly met with Louise Wilson (who is in charge of the two-year program) on Wednesday, but the notoriously tough professor doesn’t intend to give Kanye a spot based solely on his superstar status. We don’t know how much validity there is to this rumor, though the Sun‘s source is quoted as saying: “Kanye spends a lot of time with fashion students and often hooks up with Central’s arty pupils when he is in London. Now that he has been interviewed, the school’s board will have to decide whether to allow him to start the MA fashion course later this year. They are saying he has been turned down for a place because his portfolio wasn’t up to standard.”
Besides his ubiquitous runway show presence, Kanye does have a bit of experience in the industry: he allegedly interned for Patrick Robinson at Gap a couple of summers ago. (He also talked of interning for Louis Vuitton and Fendi, though we’re pretty sure those plans fell through.)
