Kanye West Made A Film And It’s Premiering At Cannes

Kanye West. Man, that is one guy we just never hear enough of these days. He’s almost as much of a media-shy recluse as his girlfriend – what’s her name again? Oh yes, Kim Kardashian. Like modern day Salingers those two.

Anyways, Yeezy is back again with yet another creative endeavor for us to wrap our heads around – and this time it’s a film! Oh wait, sorry, it’s an experience.

The project, entitled Cruel Summer, is the brainchild of DONDA, the design company West founded earlier this year as a means to promote creative ventures in various disciplines. The film-cum-installation is to be an “immersive seven-screen experience…unlike anything West has attempted before.” And, naturally, it is set to premiere at Cannes Film Festival this coming Wednesday.

West was rumored to have been working on the film in the Middle East earlier this year, however the only peek we’ve been given into the actual footage is the below picture, which the rapper tweeted back in January. The poster has also been released, and it looks like Aziz Ansari is involved, adding weight to our theory that DONDA is modeled at least in part on Tom Haverford‘s Parks & Recreation venture Entertainment 720.
