In The Wake Of Hurricane Sandy, Karlie Kloss Finds Time To Volunteer

Karlie Kloss is no stranger to charity work. So naturally, after Hurricane Sandy ravaged New York City, leaving many without basic necessities, she found some time to give back.

Before the Victoria’s Secret runway show on Wednesday, the model made time to volunteer at an NYC food bank, and she’s looking to organize another trip with her fellow VS models. Karlie told Page Six:

“There’s people that have lost everything in the last week. I feel so fortunate to be here and have fun doing this, but at the same time I want to help the less fortunate. … It was cool going in there and helping them out, and seeing everything that they’re doing to give food and emergency supplies to people hardest hit by the hurricane. I’m trying to see if I can get all of the girls together to come with me and do a day at the soup kitchen or something, to help all the people that have been affected.”

She also participated in a CBS telethon on Thursday to raise money for the American Red Cross in the aftermath of the storm. That’s what we call beautiful inside AND out!
