Kate Hudson has signed on for another season as the face of Ann Taylor, but that’s not all — she’s now mentoring young women and also designing a capsule collection for summer 2013.
Hudson, who started fronting for Ann Taylor last spring, will join the advisory council for ANNpower Vital Voices Initiative, which helps to empower young women. Her duties include selecting grant proposals and mentoring. Hudson will also help Lisa Axelson, the retailer’s creative director, design a collection “inspired by her red-carpet style, reinterpreted for everyday occasions”. Hudson says:
“Working with Ann Taylor has been a great creative experience, and there is a really wonderful connection. Ann Taylor is great at creating iconic wardrobe staples and updating them season after season. I love that Lisa Axelson is designing clothes for real women.”
The Norman Jean Roy-lensed ad campaign will make its way onto store windows in early February, and Hudson’s collection will be available in May. We’ve got a shot of her new ad right here, check it out:
